Wow... I wanted to make a fun quiz--a good mix of easy and hard shots. Guess I only succeeded at being a truly evil EQ. I never meant to shut out as bad (or possibly worse) than the Cap'n...

A - Waiting for Guffman This is my favorite film Guest directed. I remember "getting" the joke of the orchestra playing multiple instruments probably on my third viewing. Once I realized this was a gag, I knew the timpani/trumpet/glockenspiel player would have to be used as a screenshot someday. Plus I figured most everyone has seen this movie.

B - Mr. & Mrs. Smith Hitchcock does comedy! I thought that google might have produced some answers, but I guess not many pages talk about the ski lodge scene where Mrs Smith shaves her husband. Still, I thought a Hitchcock film would be a good and fair screenshot--maybe you haven't seen it, but you probably should have.

C - Hard Candy Decided to go with a more recent film just in case people have been putting off renting it for a while (MSSQ just used it last week!). No, that's not John Leguizamo, but rather a face shot of Patrick Wilson. The director's commentary mentioned the use of digital effects to stretch open his mouth to make his scream more freaky. Guess it made it a little too hard to ID the face shot...

D - 5x2 After submitting my entries, I regretted putting this one in. I thought this might be the complete stumper. It's a French non-linear film that begins with a couple filing for divorce and ending with their first meeting. It sounded interesting when I first heard about it years ago, but when I finally watched it a few months ago I was kind of disappointed.

Sorry for being so evil... Hope I didn't scare away the 22 players from last week. For the few that played this week, thanks. And if I get to do this again, I'll be less evil--I swear.

This week there were 8 participants, with 3 getting at least one answer right. No PhDs - Captain Video and Steve J top the scores.

Look down about 100 pixels from here to check the weekly scoreboard. Thanks to all for playing, and congratulations to all who guessed correctly!
