"...we thought we'd write
a little Oscars special. It's not very original..." was the hint that we
hoped would lead you to a pretty difficult link - Best Adapted Screenplay
nominees. Eric Roth (The Postman), Larry McMurty (The Last Picture Show)
and Jeffrey Caine (GoldenEye) were all nominated this year, along with
the movie Capote. In Cold Blood was, of course, based on
the titular character's writing, but had no link to Dan Futterman (the actual nominee),
so is the odd one out. This week there were 16 participants, with 13 getting at least one answer right. The incredible Captain Video gets the golden PhD. statuette - but barely misses out on the bonus points. He had 2 very interesting links worked out (including one that almost convinced us), but, in the end, neither quite fit. Look down about 100 pixels from here to check the weekly scoreboard. Thanks to all for playing, and congratulations to all who guessed correctly!
